Oil-free screw air compressor maintenance
Like all electromechanical equipment, oil-free screw air compressors require regular maintenance to operate at maximum efficiency and minimize unplanned downtime. Improper maintenance can cause problems such as reduced compression efficiency, air leakage, and pressure changes. All equipment in the compressed air system should be maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Daily maintenance of oil-free screw air compressor
Oil-free screw compressors require relatively little routine maintenance. For this type of compressor, the microprocessor control panel is responsible for monitoring the status of the air and lubricating oil filters.
Routine maintenance-After routine startup, observe various control panel displays and local meters to check whether the displayed readings are normal. Use previous records to help determine if the current measurement is within the normal range. These observations should be made in all expected operating modes (ie, full load, no load, different line pressures and cooling water temperatures).
After the first 50 hours of operation-the basic reading of the operating conditions should be verified and necessary adjustments should be made.
Every 3,000 hours of operation-The following items should be checked every 3,000 hours of operation:
Check/replace lubricant charge and filter element.
Check/replace the air filter element.
Check/replace the filter element of the oil pan respirator.
Check/clean the control line filter element.
Check/clean the condensate drain valve.
Check the condition of the coupling components and the tightness of the fasteners.
Measure and record the vibration characteristics of compressors, gearboxes and motors.
