The influence of air temperature and oil temperature on the air compressor
It is divided into two parts to introduce, what is the impact on the air compressor when the air temperature and oil temperature are too high, and what is the impact on the air compressor when the air temperature and oil temperature are too low.
What is the impact on the air compressor when the air temperature and oil temperature are too high:
(1) If the temperature of the intake gas is too high, the exhaust volume will be reduced.
(2) Too high temperature during compression will increase power consumption and reduce productivity.
(3) Too high cylinder temperature will cause the oil in the valve and piston ring to coke and lose its lubrication effect. If sparks are encountered, there is a danger of explosion. The temperature of the cylinder is too high, causing the piston ring, valve, packing and other parts to work poorly, increasing wear and tear and poor sealing.
(4) If the temperature is too high, the bearings and bushings will be burned, and the compressor will even be unable to operate.
(5) Overheating of the machine parts will reduce the mechanical strength and even deform.
(6) If the oil temperature is too high, it will reduce the viscosity and pressure of the oil, which will affect the lubrication effect.
(7) If the cooling water temperature is too high, the cooling effect will be reduced.
(8) If the temperature of the electric motor and internal combustion engine is too high, there is a danger of burning.
What is the impact on the air compressor when the air temperature and oil temperature are too low:
(1) If the cooling water temperature is too low, it will affect the circulation of the cooling water. If it is lower than 0℃, it will freeze and crack the machine.
(2) The lubricating oil temperature is too low, the internal combustion engine is not easy to start, etc.
Therefore, we should judge whether the compressor is working normally from the temperature change, and control the temperature of each part within the specified range to keep the compressor running normally. This is the knowledge that the compressor operator should master.
