
Functions and troubleshooting of various components of screw air compressor
The function of the components of the oil-injection screw air compressor is introduced, and the working principle of the components is analyzed. Precautions during maintenance and analysis and troubleshooting of individual faults.
1. Lubricating oil
Lubricating oil has the functions of lubrication, cooling, and sealing.
1) Pay attention to the oil level of the lubricating oil. Lack of oil can cause high temperature and carbon deposition in the unit, as well as accelerated wear of operating components, damaging the service life of the unit.
2) To prevent the generation of condensed water in the lubricating oil, it is advisable to keep the operating oil temperature around 90℃, and resolutely prevent the oil temperature from falling below 65℃during operation.
Composition of lubricating oil: base oil+additives.
Additives have the following functions: anti foam, anti-oxidation, corrosion resistance, anti solidification, wear resistance, scale removal (rust), more stable viscosity (especially high temperature), etc.
The lubricating oil can be used for a maximum of one year, and the lubricating oil will deteriorate if it is used for too long.
2. Functions of screw air compressor components
Air filter function:
The main task is to prevent impurities such as dust in the air from entering the air compressors compressor system. Filtering accuracy: 98% for 0.001 mm particles, 99.5% for 0.002 mm particles, and 99.9% for particles above 0.003 mm.
Oil filter function:
Remove all impurities and dust that cause wear from the lubricating oil, but do not separate the special additives added.
Filter paper accuracy: 0.008mm particles filter 50%, 0.010mm particles filter 99%. The fake filter paper has not undergone heating and lubricating oil testing, only has fewer wrinkles, greatly reducing the filtering area, and the spacing of the wrinkles is uneven.
If the air at the air inlet contains a lot of dust and the lubricating oil is used for a period of time, the filter paper is seriously blocked, and the filter will hinder the flow of the lubricating oil. If the difference in the lubricating oil pressure entering the oil filter is too large (cold start or filter clogging), there is a lack of oil in the oil circuit, and the temperature of the lubricating oil will rise, which will damage the rotor.
oil gas separator function:
The main task is to separate the air screw compressor lubricating oil from the oil gas mixture and continue to remove the lubricating oil particles from the compressed air.
The oil gas mixture entering the oil gas drum (composed of an oil gas separator, minimum pressure valve, safety valve, and container shell) undergoes three types of separation: centrifugal separation, gravity separation (oil is heavier than gas), and fiber separation.
Separation process: The oil gas mixture enters the oil gas barrel along the tangential direction of the outer wall of the oil gas separator, 80% to 90% of the oil is separated from the oil gas mixture (centrifugal separation), and the remaining (10% to 20%) of the oil sticks to the outer wall surface of the oil gas separator for separation (gravity separation). A small amount of oil enters the inner part of the oil gas separator (fiber separation), and is pressed back into the main cavity of the screw through the return pipe.
