The most complete and standard installation specifications and requirements of air compressors can be used as installation manuals!
The selection of the air compressor installation site is the most neglected by the staff. Often after the air compressor is purchased, a place is found at will, and it is used immediately after piping. There is no prior planning at all. However, such a sloppy result will lead to the failure of the air compressor in the future, difficult maintenance and poor air quality. Therefore, a proper installation site is a prerequisite for the correct use of the air compressor system.
1. Installation environment layout requirements
1. In order to meet the needs of development, there should be room for expansion of the computer room at the location of the general plan.
2. The air compressor directly inhales from the atmosphere. In order to reduce the possibility of wear, corrosion and explosion of the unit, there must be a certain distance between the machine room and the place where explosive, corrosive, toxic gas, dust and other harmful substances are emitted. The compressor has a large heat dissipation, especially in summer, the temperature in the machine is very high, so the orientation of the machine room should make the machine room have good ventilation and minimize the sun exposure.
3. Although the compressor has a box, it is strictly forbidden to shower with rainwater, so the compressor should not be installed in the open air.
4. The compressor room is an independent building.
5. The compressor room must be equipped with fixed carbon dioxide fire extinguishing equipment, and its manual switch must be set outside the danger zone. and accessible at any time. Fire Extinguishing Equipment Carbon dioxide gas or powder fire extinguishers should be placed near the protected target, but outside the danger zone.
2. Equipment room installation requirements
1. The ground should be smooth and clean, and the inner surface of the wall should be whitened. The compressor base should be placed on the concrete floor, and the level of the plane should not be greater than 0.5/1000 (mm). There are grooves around 200mm away from the unit, so that oil and water can flow away from the groove when the unit is stopped for oil change, maintenance or scouring to clean the ground. The size of the groove is determined by the user.
2. The compressor unit is placed on the ground, and it should be ensured that the bottom of the box is in good contact with the ground to prevent vibration and increase noise.
3. For qualified users, sound-absorbing panels can be attached to the walls of the computer room to further reduce noise, but it is not advisable to use hard surface materials such as ceramic tiles to decorate the walls.
4. Since the air-cooled compressor is greatly affected by the ambient temperature, the ventilation of the machine room should be good and dry. The heat exchange air can be led to the outdoors with an air duct or set up an exhaust fan, and the ambient temperature of the compressor should be controlled at -5℃~40℃ Inside.
5. There is less dust in the computer room, the air is clean, free of harmful gases and corrosive media such as sulfurous acid. According to the nature of the products processed by your company, the air inlet should be equipped with a primary filter device. The effective area of window circulation should be greater than 3m2
3. Power supply and peripheral wiring requirements
1. The main power supply of the compressor is AC (380V, 440V.../50Hz) three-phase, and the freeze dryer is AC (220V/50HZ). Please confirm the power supply.
2. The voltage drop should not exceed 5% of the rated voltage, and the voltage difference of each phase should be within 3%.
3. The compressor power supply must be equipped with an isolating switch to prevent the short circuit from causing phase loss.
4. Check the secondary circuit fuse, and select an appropriate non-fuse fuse switch according to the power of the compressor.
5. It is best to use a separate power system for the compressor, and avoid using it in parallel with other different power consumption systems. Especially when the power of the compressor is large, the compressor may be formed due to excessive voltage drop or unbalanced three-phase current. Overload causes the protection device to trip.
6. The ground wire must be grounded to prevent danger from leakage, and must not be connected to the air delivery pipe or cooling water pipe.
4. Requirements for pipeline installation
1. The air supply port of the unit has a threaded pipe, which can be connected to your air supply pipeline. Please refer to the factory manual for installation dimensions.
2. In order to avoid affecting the operation of the whole station or other units during maintenance, and to reliably prevent the back flow of compressed air during maintenance, a shut-off valve must be installed between the unit and the gas storage tank.
3. In order to avoid affecting air consumption during filter maintenance, spare pipelines should be provided on each filter pipeline.
4. The branch pipeline must be connected from the top of the main pipeline to prevent the condensed water in the pipeline from flowing into the compressor unit.
5. The pipeline is as short and straight as possible, reducing elbows and various valves to reduce pressure loss.
6. The pipeline should generally have a slope greater than 2/1000, and a drain valve (plug) should be provided at the lower end.
7. When the underground pipeline passes through the main road surface, the buried depth of the pipe top shall not be less than 0.7m, and the secondary road surface shall not be less than 0.4m.
