How to maximize the benefits of air compressors?

How to maximize the benefits of air compressors?

  • 2021-11-11

As one of the general machinery, air compressors are more and more widely used in the industrial field. In particular, air compressors that provide aerodynamics are widely used in machinery manufacturing, chemical and petrochemical, mining and metallurgy, textiles and clothing, food and pharmaceuticals, transportation and other industries.

If a worker wants to do well, he must first sharpen his tools. Without good equipment operating conditions as a guarantee, the development of an enterprise is empty talk. In the long-term use of air compressors, tangible and intangible wear will occur, reducing the accuracy of the compressor, deteriorating the performance of the compressor, affecting product quality, and reducing the economic benefits of the enterprise. For this reason, optimizing the compressor maintenance management of the enterprise is conducive to improving the equipment quality of the enterprise, ensuring the quality of the enterprise's products, and improving the economic efficiency of the enterprise.

1. Scientifically analyze the value of compressors, and reasonably choose maintenance and renewal

Under the action of various forces, the air compressor causes different degrees of wear, deformation and damage to the parts, resulting in changes in the size, shape and accuracy of the parts, or the air compressor is caused by natural forces during the idle process. Rust, corrosion of metal parts, aging of rubber parts, etc., will reduce the performance of the air compressor, thereby affecting product quality. Due to the advancement of science and technology, more complete and more efficient air compressors are constantly emerging. This invisible wear causes the devaluation of the original compressor.

Invisible wear is not caused by physical friction or natural forces in the production process, but the depreciation of the compressor value due to changes in the socio-economic environment, which is the result of technological progress, such as screw compressors replacing piston compressors. Invisible wear is divided into two types

form.

(1) The first type of invisible wear: The technical structure and performance of the compressor have not changed, but due to technological progress, the compressor manufacturing process has been continuously improved, and the socially necessary labor costs required to produce the same compressor have been reduced, thus making the compressor market The price has been reduced, resulting in a corresponding depreciation of the original compressor value. For example, in the past few years, the production technology of screw compressors continued to mature, resulting in a decline in the price of screw compressors year by year. This invisible wear causes the value of the sold compressor to depreciate, but its own technical characteristics and functions are not affected, and the use value of the compressor has not changed due to this, so there will be no problem of replacing the existing compressor in advance.

(2)The second type of invisible wear: due to the emergence and application of new technologies, new processes, and new materials, new types of compressors with more advanced structure, better performance, higher efficiency, and lower energy and material consumption have been continuously innovated. Although the compressor has not reached its physical life (operating life), its productivity has been much lower than the average level of society. Since the introduction and application of more technologically advanced new compressors will partially lose the use value of the original compressors, the question of whether to replace the existing outdated compressors with new compressors has arisen. If you continue to use it, the cost of producing products will be much higher than the average social cost, resulting in higher unit product costs and lack of competitiveness in the market.

For example, the introduction of permanent magnet variable frequency screw air compressors and super first-stage energy-efficient air compressors highlights that the original industrial frequency air compressors are serious in power consumption. For this reason, when the air compressor needs to be overhauled, we must conduct a comprehensive investigation on the technical condition of the air compressor and do an economic analysis. Take a look at the tangible and intangible wear of the air compressor, whether it is economical to repair the air compressor, or is it more economical to eliminate it. There is no need to overhaul compressors with degraded performance and outdated functions.

2. Carry out maintenance methods based on condition detection to reduce maintenance costs

3. Use market maintenance resources to achieve professional maintenance

4. Optimize compressor overhaul management to reduce maintenance waste
