The environment of the air compressor room is very important for the stable operation of the air compressor. Good operating environment of air compressor can reduce most equipment failures.

The environment of air compressor room is "four far away"

1. Keep away from dust: The machine room with a lot of dust will first cause the air filter to be blocked, and the air cooling effect is poor. The dust will enter the oil circuit system, and the service life of the three filters will be greatly reduced. The dust particles will also cause rotor wear, bearing wear, and abnormal noise.

2. Keep away from high temperature: the poorly ventilated machine room will affect the heat dissipation of the motor, resulting in the high temperature operation of the air compressor.

3. Keep away from corrosive gas: in addition, corrosive gas will also bring many hazards to pipelines and rotors. It will corrode and damage the male and female rotors, causing leakage and easy to corrode the pipeline.

4. Keep away from humidity: Do not operate in an environment with too high humidity. Moisture can not only corrode the casing of the air compressor, but also emulsify the lubricating oil when the moisture in the air enters the air compressor with the air, thus reducing the lubrication effect and accelerating the corrosion of mechanical moving parts.

"Three requirements" for air compressor room environment

1. Fire protection requirements

The walls, roofs, floors and doors of the machine room shall at least meet the requirements of fire rating F30.

Combustible and explosive liquids and gases shall not be stored in the machine room.

The ground around the air compressor shall be made of non combustible materials.

Combustible materials shall not be stored within at least 3 meters around the air compressor.

Combustible devices, such as electric wires, shall not be installed above the air compressor.

2. Ventilation requirements

Vents shall be reserved in the machine room to let the air flow. The air intake must be clean and free of solid and gas pollutants. Dust particles can cause wear and gas corrosion, which is very harmful.

The ventilation air shall be introduced from the outside, and the air flow rate at the inlet shall not exceed 4m/s. The suction position should be placed as low as possible. The ventilation inlet of the machine room can be equipped with a dust-proof metal screen or a dust-proof filter device to prevent rain and snow from entering the machine room and eliminate potential risks.

The heat exhaust fan must be installed above the side wall of the air compressor room, which is opposite to the large air inlet.

The air outlet of the air compressor must be equipped with a wind guide cover.

The diameter of the air guide hood shall be larger than the air exhaust diameter of the air compressor;

There shall be no more than 2 wind deflector bends;

The air guide hood shall be led out of the air compressor room, and rainwater shall be poured back;

The leading out length of the air guide cover shall not be more than 5m, and if it is more than 5m, axial flow fan shall be installed to assist exhaust;

The air guide cover shall be 1 m away from the air outlet of the air compressor for easy removal.

3. Environmental requirements

The machine room must be bright, clean, dry, dust-free and well ventilated, and the presence of explosive and chemically unstable gases, such as acid and alkali gases, must be eliminated.
